Pros
The Golden State Warriors could decide to get all of the drama over with and extend Jordan Poole ASAP. Here are the benefits:
Proven scorer
If there is one thing we know about Jordan Poole, it’s that he can put the ball in the hoop.
A bit streaky through his first two seasons, Poole finally found that perfect balance between volume and efficiency. He shot 36.4% from the 3-point line while drilling 211 total 3-pointers, more than double his previous career-high.
At the very least, Golden State can rely on Poole to play the sixth man role and pour in buckets on a nightly basis.
Potential to improve
At his best? Poole can continue growing as an elite scorer and playmaker.
Poole averaged 18.5 points and 4.0 assists last season. Some of his passes were dazzling and he has shown a clear understanding of how to break down a defense with his dribbling.
In due time, Poole is the type of player who can serve as the ultimate triple-threat on offense. He can pass, shoot and get to the rim.
A well-rounded offensive threat like this is something the Warriors would love to keep around.
