Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors remain the biggest headliner in basketball as they are centerstage of all the NBA’s big events.

Opening night? Warriors versus Los Angeles Lakers (with credit due to LeBron James, the greatest-individual headliner in the game).

Christmas? Dubs versus Memphis Grizzlies, a rivalry that started in the 2021 Play-In Game and took a fiery step forward in the 2022 Playoffs.

If the NBA needs a team to headline, the Warriors are there to get the job done.

The Golden State Warriors are the NBA’s ultimate headliner, featured on opening night and the Christmas day festivities this season.

It’s more than just being the reigning champs, though. Golden State has remained one of the most popular franchises for almost a decade now with Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson spearheading the movement.

You won’t find a more popular team today. The Dubs dominate local ratings by a wide margin while Curry and Thompson both place in the top 15 for jersey sales.

While the Lakers led the league in national TV games at 42 last season, the Dubs were only one game behind at 41.

It’s impossible to deny the greatness of the Warriors. They’ve won four championships in seven seasons and appear to be in a position to keep on winning. Curry was in the hunt for MVP most of last season while Green made a run for the Defensive Player of the Year.

Everyone will be tuning in to see a full season of Thompson once again. It has been four years since we saw the Splash Brothers begin a season together on opening night.

Meanwhile, Jordan Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, James Wiseman and Moses Moody are young prospects exciting enough to check out the Warriors in their own right.

The Warriors will partake in countless fun regular season games this year and they’ll almost without a doubt compete on the biggest stage in basketball as one of the favorites to win the title, again.
