The Golden State Warriors are at risk of losing their former first-round pick, Jordan Poole, if they don’t sign him to an extension. Assuming they pass on that, he’ll be a restricted free agent next offseason.

The Dubs are in a tricky spot with Poole because they’ll undoubtedly want to keep him on the roster. That will be easier said than done though with Poole and Andrew Wiggins both set to become free agents at the same time.

The Golden State Warriors may not be able to retain Jordan Poole, and these three teams could be lining up to offer him a hefty new deal.

While both could see deals worth over $80 million, the Warriors will likely only be able to retain one of them unless either take a sizable pay cut.

That’s unlikely though, and with Wiggins being the more valuable type of player, it’s expected they opt to keep the two-way forward who received his first All-Star nomination a season ago. If that’s the case, expect Poole to leave.

Poole has increased his scoring sizably over the last several seasons.

Carrying the team over the last few weeks of the regular season while averaging around 26 points per game, he upped his scoring to 18.5 points per game this past season and shot 45% from the field, both career-high marks for the 23-year-old guard.

Assuming he’s going to leave, let’s dive into three teams that should be primed to offer him a near-max deal.
