Warriors player that could be traded: Jordan Poole

The Golden State Warriors are going to run it back this season, but doing that without trading Jordan Poole is risky. Poole was the 28th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and struggled immensely as a rookie.

He had stints in the G-League for both his first two seasons, but this past year was completely different as Poole’s scoring continued to climb, as did his efficiency. He averaged 18.5 points per game and shot 45% from the field.

Poole is more than likely not going to be traded unless it is in a deal for a superstar. Kevin Durant would have to be a true option for the Warriors, but that also seems unlikely. Risking allowing Poole to walk for nothing seems unwise as well.

The Warriors have Poole on a team option this season in which he’ll make $3.9 million. After that, he’ll be a restricted free agent, and they likely won’t be able to match an offer. It’s either trade Poole or lose him.

That’s the dilemma, and it feels like one which could eventually get him dealt.
