The Golden State Warriors are coming off their fourth NBA Championship in eight seasons. That type of success is rarely seen, especially considering the three-year break, missing the postseason in two of those seasons.

It hasn’t been an easy road to the top for Golden State as they’ve had to deal with multiple injuries to multiple vital stars which includes Klay Thompson suffering two season-ending injuries.  Both Draymond Green and Stephen Curry missed numerous games last season.

Former superstar center and media mogul Shaquille O’Neal absolutely thinks two-time MVP Stephen Curry is the best player in the world.

Curry didn’t have as good of a regular season as the year prior, but he decided to make up for it with an incredible playoff run, carrying the Warriors both to the NBA Finals and throughout the final six-game series.

Curry averaged 31.2 points per game during the Finals, chipping in 5.2 triples per game and 5 assists per game as well.

He led the league in scoring with 32 points per game during the 2020-2021 season, a year the Dubs finished 8th yet lost in the play-in tournament to miss the postseason. Curry has two MVPs, four titles, and two scoring titles to his name. Oh, and he has a Finals MVP as well.

Noted as the best shooter in NBA history, Curry has proven to be so much more than that. His defense is drastically underrated, and his playmaking has only improved throughout his career. Curry is also a solid rebounding guard.

Put it all together, and you have the best player in the world, but you don’t have to hear it from this Warriors blog. Hall of Fame center Shaquille O’Neal, who has now coupled as one of the biggest media personalities in the sport, thinks that as well.

“Nobody’s going to beat the best player in the world, Steph Curry,” O’Neal boldly said on the “Big Podcast with Shaq.”

While many might agree, there are thousands that’ll disagree with Shaq’s take. Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Giannis Antetokoumpo are all names that one may often hear discussed as the best in the league.

Not mentioned often, Stephen Curry has proven time and time again that he is paramount to the success of the best team in the NBA.
