Jordan Poole and Stephen Curry have become one of the most dynamic backcourt pairings in the NBA. To no surprise, this Golden State Warriors duo leads the NBA in a fascinating statistic.

The Golden State Warriors have two of the best off-ball scorers in the entire NBA with Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole leading the way.

Poole has politely asked Klay Thompson to scootch over and make room as an honorary member of the Splash Brother. His dazzling ball handle and flamethrower 3-point shooting have made Poole a borderline All-Star.

While much of Poole’s game has grown to reflect Curry’s, one aspect stands out as something these two do better than anyone else:

Moving without the ball.

Curry has been able to differentiate himself from other lead-ball handlers by being perhaps the best off-ball shooter we have seen in the NBA since Ray Allen or Reggie Miller. Truthfully, Curry is probably the best we’ve ever seen.

He is constantly navigating screens, relocating and putting pressure on the defense to keep up. They rarely do — and it’s the reason why Curry leads the NBA in this department by quite a lot.

To no surprise, Poole is the one right behind him.

Albeit a distant second, Poole is the only other primary ball handler who rivals Curry as an off-ball scorer. He’s clearly learned a lot from his mentor and is replicating much of his game after Curry.

The value of having a 3-point threat like Curry and Poole moving around the court 24/7 is unrivaled. Opponents simply can not relax when these two are on the court.

Especially when the Warriors are notorious for moving the ball around. Most of the action flows through Draymond Green but every member of the team is capable of snapping a pass straight to Curry or Poole.

This dynamic is what makes the Warriors so tough to beat. And don’t forget, Klay Thompson is just as skilled at moving off-ball. With a full season of being healthy, Klay will be in this conversation as well.

Next. 5 Stars most likely to be traded. dark
