Let’s just start this off with it is unlikely the Golden State Warriors make a trade prior to the 2022 training camp commencement.

However, there are a few deals that have been floated around that make sense for both parties. Bleacher Report came with an article detailing a trade for every team prior to training camp, and the one it lists for Golden State actually would make a ton of sense for both sides.

The Golden State Warriors should want to repeat as NBA Champions, and a trade could be the only way they get closer to being title favorites.

With the Warriors coming off a championship and the core of their dynasty now aging into their mid-30s, the Dubs should want to continue to capitalize on their title window. They have now won four championships in eight seasons.

With Stephen Curry at 34 and both Klay Thompson and Draymond Green at 32, the Dubs only have a few more seasons to truly be at the top of the league, and given their contract statuses, many players, particularly rising stars for Golden State, may struggle to get paid.

Finding out how to balance who to keep versus who has trade value that needs to be taken advantage of is not easy. Bob Myers shouldn’t want players like Jordan Poole to walk, but he may have little choice.

That said, let’s dive into two players which it makes sense to trade prior to the 2022 season kicking off.
