Ben McLemore

Ben McLemore is a player the Golden State Warriors could add immediately and keep stashed on the roster in the event Jordan Poole is on his way out.

The former lottery pick spent last season with the Portland Trail Blazers. McLemore played 64 games, averaging 10.2 points and shooting 36.2% from the 3-point line.

At 28 years old, McLemore is still relatively young, Though, it’s unlikely he develops his game at this point.

He’s an athletic wing who can defend the perimeter and shoot the ball. This makes him different from Poole, who is more of a high-powered shot creator than a 3-and-D guy.

McLemore is an obvious downgrade. He doesn’t possess the same upside as Poole and there is no chance of him replicating his offensive output.

Still, McLemore is a cheap option that can fill in the gaps for Golden State while they search for a more permanent replacement.
