As a summer full of ecstasy and joy comes to an end, the Warriors season opened with training camp this past Saturday. The Dubs are looking to defend their title and win their 5th ring in 9 years further cementing the team amongst the greatest dynasties in modern sports.

They will begin their quest to repeat without a defensive ace, Gary Payton II, who was signed by the Portland Trailblazers, and Otto Porter Jr, who got signed to a multiyear deal with the Toronto Raptors.

The Golden State Warriors are ramping up for another NBA season. Here is a preview of what to expect from the reigning champs.

Besides those two, they also lost Nemanja Bjelica who joined Fenerbahçe of the Basketball Super League and EuroLeague, Damion Lee who signed with the Phoenix Suns, and Juan Toscano Anderson who signed with the LA Lakers.

Despite all these free agency losses they managed to retain starting center Kevon Looney to a three-year 22.5 million dollar contract. He was a fixture in their playoff rotation last season and played a key role in them winning multiple playoff games and eventually a playoff series.

Fan Favorite Andre Iguodala also announced on his Point Forward podcast that he’d be coming back for his 19th and final season. T

hey also signed guard Donte DiVincenzo to a two-year deal, and signed forward Jamychal Green from the buyout market. After drafting forward Patrick Baldwin Jr with the 28th pick from Milwaukee and guard Ryan Rollins from Toledo, the Warriors roster is all but filled out.
