The Rookies

Patrick Baldwin Jr, Ryan Rollins

The rookies are fascinating players because they were both drafted, but before we got a look at them in summer league, both of them got injured. They’ve been fully healthy and now have getting healthier and healthier and playing in the pick-up games inside the Dubs Facility. Both have become team favorites with Coach Kerr saying that Baldwin has the coaching staff raving and Looney singling Rollins out as someone who has impressed him.

While expected to have a limited role this season and both are not expected to crack the rotation, the games where the star players rest will be extremely fun to watch and see them grow as players.

Iguodala

Yup, Iguodala gets his own tier for himself. Not expected to be a significant contributor on the court, his real value will be off the court as a mentor. He has talked about how he plans on mentoring Kuminga and Moody and that he’s going to constantly be in their ear giving advice and that’s something this team sorely needs. All the key vets such as Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson are going to be focused on playing and obviously winning, it’s nice to have a vet who’s going to focus and give time to the younger players who might need mentorship.

The Rundown

This Warriors roster is well built and well positioned to defend their title. While having lost some key players this season, they did well to replenish the roster. With the added free agents plus internal growth from some of the young guys, there’s no reason this team isn’t making noise come June again.
