If Golden State Warriors fans needed any extra motivation to get hyped for the upcoming season, then they’ve sure found it in the way of a new NBA docuseries.

Following two years of devastating injuries and subsequent absence from the postseason, the Warriors returned to centerstage last season to produce their fourth NBA championship in eight seasons.

The NBA has delivered a new seven-part Golden State Warriors docuseries, highlighting the franchise’s historic 2022 championship.

Many fans would argue last season’s title run was their most enjoyable, owing to the prior struggles and the common-held narrative that their dynasty period was over. As such, this docuseries will undoubtedly re-ignite the pride of what Golden State was able to achieve.

The first of seven episodes are now available on NBA.com and the NBA app, featuring narration from Warriors veteran Andre Iguodala. As if perfectly timed, this takes on special significance given the 38-year-old’s recent re-signing for one final season.

The Warriors sustained success has allowed director Dion Cocoros to take a historic outlook on the 2022 championship, rather than just the one-off season.

"“To be able to break this up into seven parts, it allowed up so be innovative in how we tell the story. So, it was exciting to not only tell the Warriors’ story, which is an amazing journey to the title, but also do something different and innovative at the same time”, Cocoros said."

The first episode provides a recap of where the Warriors have come from; the drafting of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, the duo’s rise alongside Draymond Green, their three championships in four seasons, and their brief fall from grace after the 2019 Finals. It then takes an early behind-the-scenes look at Warriors training camp from this time last year.
