In the past eight years, the Orlando Magic haven’t necessarily been a team the Golden State Warriors would circle on the calendar. However, following a three-game skid, this game has become a must win.

The Magic have also struggled to start the season, although it’s not for a lack of talent as they have plenty of incredible young players. This includes a leading candidate for Most Improved Player, Bol Bol, as well as the clear frontrunner for Rookie of the Year in Paolo Banchero.

The Magic also feature some Rookie of the Year finalists from the last few seasons including Cole Anthony and Franz Wagner. This is an elite young team looking to start adding some wins to their belt.

The Orlando Magic’s 1-7 record belies what could be a dangerous matchup for a disappointing Golden State Warriors team with a 3-5 record.

On the other side of the aisle, the Golden State Warriors have three guys playing at a high level and making their case for All-Star, All-NBA, and MVP in their own rights.

First there’s Jordan Poole who is although taking slightly less shots per game, has not slowed his performance as he continues to build off of his strong performance from last season.

Andrew Wiggins is another player from Golden State starting out strong, currently playing the best basketball of his career and has genuinely looked like an All-NBA candidate to start the season.

Finally, the Warriors have their all-time great Stephen Curry. Nobody is surprised by his strong start, but fans will be surprised to know that he currently leads the Warriors in points, assists, rebounds and steals on the season. He may have a case for his third MVP if they can start piling up wins.

While most fans believe this should not even be a close game, the matchups could be nightmarish for the Warriors tonight.
