Golden State Warriors acquire wing scorer from the Washington Wizards.

The Washington Wizards are in no-man’s land when it comes to the NBA landscape. Led by Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis, they’re a competitive team who often find themselves around the play-in mix. However, that often leads to late lottery picks, and the Wizards are yet to build substantial talent around Beal and Porzingis.

That would change with Wiseman and Kuminga, giving Washington two players much more talented than their current prospects. With Beal and Porzingis still in their twenties, they would have a couple of years to allow the young duo to develop into major pieces.

Here’s how a deal may look:

For the Warriors, they get a scoring forward who’s capable of providing at least 25 minutes in a playoff rotation. Kuzma’s had a bright start to the season, averaging 18.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists on 46% from the field.

He wouldn’t get the same sort of usage rate at the Warriors, but his all-around game would make for a nice fit behind Andrew Wiggins. Daniel Gafford would also provide Golden State with a much more reliable option behind Kevon Looney at the center position, with the 24-year-old averaging 5.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and one blocks in 15 minutes per game this season.

It’s not an overly exciting trade for the Warriors, but acquiring Kuzma would give them a quality top seven rotation heading into the playoffs.
