The Golden State Warriors, previously winless on the road this season, defeated the Houston Rockets 127-120 at the Toyota Center on Sunday. While it was far from a convincing performance, the team’s three leading scorers ensured victory by putting on a show from beyond the arc.

The Golden State Warriors trio of Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins had an epic three-point night in what was one for the record books.

Thompson (10-for-13), Curry (7-for-14), and Wiggins (6-for-11), splashed a total of 23 three-pointers in a shooting display never before witnessed in an NBA game. Curry then shocked the sold-out arena and Rockets assistant coach, John Lucas, with a dagger three that hit nothing but the bottom of the net — sending Curry into a leaping rendition of his now famous night-night celebration.

The Warriors dominated the first quarter, finishing the period with a 12-point advantage. Thompson scored 20 of his 25 first-half points in the opening period, with Curry providing seven assists.

The second unit, again, failed to hold the lead, with Houston roaring back to take a 65-61 lead at the half. The third quarter was hard-fought, with the Dubs heading into the fourth leading 97-94. The game remained in doubt until Curry and Thompson tucked the young Rockets into bed with a slew of game-decisive threes.

Thompson finished the night with a season-high 41 points, while Curry with had 33 and contributed 15 assists. Wiggins chipped in with 22 as the trio’s outrageous shot making from deep sent Twitter into a frenzy.

Incredibly, the record comes just weeks after the Cleveland Cavaliers trio of Donovan Mitchell, Kevin Love and Dean Wade also set a new benchmark. In a win over the New York Knicks on October 30, Mitchell and Love each drilled eight threes and Wade six for 22 combined triples.
