The Golden State Warriors took an early 7-0 lead two minutes into the first quarter at Fiserv Forum, but that’s as far as they got as the the Milwaukee Bucks dominated from thereon out.

The Warriors, now 2-12 on the road, were put on their heels by two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, with the Bucks’ superstar dominating the interior to lead a comfortable 128-111 win.

The Milwaukee Bucks paraded to the foul line all night, benefiting from inconsistent defensive play from the visiting Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors had cut the Bucks’ lead to six points with just one minute remaining in the second-quarter, before Milwaukee responded with a six-point run of their own to end the half and really any hope the Warriors may have had to win their first stop on the six-game road trip.

Down 12 points to begin the second-half, the Bucks quickly put the game out of reach as they widened their lead to 95-77 after three quarters. The Bucks took advantage of a series of technical fouls as the frustrated Warriors committed a total of 22 fouls for the night.

Outscored in the paint, the Warriors stood little hope on a sub-par shooting night as both Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole went 6-for-17 from the field. Golden State shot just 36% as a team, and Curry struggled all night despite scoring a team-high 20 points.

Poole added 18, while Jonathan Kuminga showed further promising signs with 19 points and some more solid defense. Donte DiVincenzo tallied sixteen points against his former team, providing defense and rebounding off a Warriors bench that largely held up their end of the bargain.

The Warriors will face the Indiana Pacers with a visit to Cambridge Fieldhouse on the second night of a back-to-back. Klay Thompson is unavailable due to player management, while Andrew Wiggins will miss another game through injury.

The undermanned Pacers handed the Warriors a rare loss at home just nine days ago, causing the upset 112-104 win at Chase Center. Golden State have lost three straight on the road and 12 of 14 for the season, with the following five games critical to defending their championship title.
