Golden State Warriors’ Bob Myers to host new podcast with Stephen Curry as first guest
Golden State Warriors’ President of Basketball Operations and General Manager is the latest figure entering into the demanding sports podcast market. The two-time NBA Executive of the Year is hosting a new podcast, ‘Lead by Example’, produced by Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions.
With Golden State Warriors’ point guard Stephen Curry as his first guest, Bob Myers’ ‘Lead By Example’ is sure to be a must listen.
The podcast will be available in the ESPN Podcasts library and be sponsored by Caesars Sports book. Manning’s media company will also produce full-length video versions of each podcast for ESPN’s YouTube channel. All proceeds from ‘Lead By Example’ will be donated to the Warriors’ Community Foundation, on whose board of directors Myers serves.
Confirmed guests to follow Curry include basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr, former Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, and California Governor Gavin Newsom. Myers shared his excitement at being able to speak with a range of leaders in his new venture.
"“I’ve been fortunate to have been around many great leaders throughout my career, seeing firsthand how they empower and inspire. Now I’m thrilled to be able to share conversations with some of the top leaders in their professions on my new podcast. I’m excited to team up with my friends at ESPN and Omaha to share these inspirational journeys.”"
With all proceeds from Lead By Example donated to the Warriors Community Foundation, Myers’s philanthropy is one more example of the Warriors and their players’ efforts to give back to a community that has given so much to them. Curry, his wife Ayesha, and his family are shining examples of the Warriors’ appreciation for the Bay Area community they call home.
The Currys’ assistance ranges from feeding the hungry of Oakland during the Covid crisis, to meals and books for needy schools, community sports courts, and remembering the children who would go without at Christmas. The Golden State Warriors win championships, but they also have won much more than a trophy; they have won the hearts and gratitude of the millions they serve.
