Golden State Warriors Playoff Schedule: Every First-Round Series Game Revealed
The NBA has revealed the full schedule for the Golden State Warriors first-round series against the Sacramento Kings. Starting on Saturday at Golden 1 Center, the matchup would finish on the last day of April should it go down to the wire in a Game 7.
The third-seed Kings have the crucial home court advantage, but that hasn’t stopped the Warriors from being a significant favorite according to bookmakers and most experts.
The Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings are preparing to face each other for the first time in NBA Playoff history. Check out the full schedule below:
Golden 1 Center is bound to be rocking in Sacramento on Saturday as the Kings appear in their first playoff game since 2006. Warrior fans are always prevalent wherever they play, and the proximity of both cities means the defending champions should have some support in the building.
Despite a woeful 11-30 road record during the regular season, Golden State will be hoping to steal one of the first two games in Sacramento. Game 2 will take place at 7pm on Monday 17th April, leaving less than 48 hours to back up from the end of Game 1.
The teams will have a couple of days off before meeting at Chase Center, the first playoff game in the building since Game 5 of last year’s NBA Finals. G17ame 3 will begin at 7pm on Thursday 20th April, with Game 4 to be next Sunday afternoon starting at 12:30pm.
Game 5 will take place in Sacramento on Wednesday 26th, unless either teams pulls off what would be a surprising 4-0 sweep. The teams would return to Chase Center for a Game 6 on the 28th if necessary, with a potential Game 7 in Sacramento on the 30th. That means the final three games, if required, would take place over five days. The starting time of those games are yet to be determined.
The Warriors hold the experience over their opponent when it comes to the rigours of a seven-game playoff series, and it will interesting to see if that begins to become a factor as this series progresses.
