Stephen Curry added to his prestigious trophy case on Wednesday night, with the Golden State Warriors’ superstar earning Second Team All-NBA honors for the 2022-23 season.

Heat star Jimmy Butler, Celtics wing Jaylen Brown, Cavs guard Donovan Mitchell, and Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic rounded out the Second Team. Making up the First Team were Sixers big man and this year’s MVP, Joel Embiid, Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic, Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Celtics wing Jayson Tatum.

Stephen Curry has received his ninth All-NBA selection, and fourth Second Team selection amid a glittering career at the Golden State Warriors.

Curry celebrated his 35th birthday in March, but Father Time has got some work to do if it’s to ever catch up with the “Baby-Faced Assassin.” Curry enjoyed one of the better seasons of his career, averaging 29.4 points, 6.3 assists, and a career-high 6.1 rebounds. In his 14th season Curry nearly turned in another 50/40/90 season, shooting 49.3% from the field, 42.7% from three-point range, and 91.5% from the free-throw line.

Curry only suited up for 56 games during the regular season, but when he was on the court, he played at an MVP level in captaining the eighth best offense in the NBA. Like the great ones typically do, Curry has elevated his play during the postseason. Curry is averaging 30.3 points per game (good for 4th among active playoff scorers), and the two-time MVP has had some signature performances, including his record-breaking 50-point outburst in Game 7 of the first round.

Curry and the Warriors will face off with the Los Angeles Lakers again on Friday night for a must-win Game 6 in Crypto.com arena. Curry is averaging a series-high 25.6 points, eight assists and 5.4 rebounds so far in the second round. Golden State can depend on Curry to deliver under pressure, but he will need help from his teammates if the Warriors are to force a Game 7 back in The Bay.
