6. Jonathan Kuminga

At least for now, it’s tough to say what type of role Jonathan Kuminga will have with the Golden State Warriors moving forward. And that becomes even murkier and more of a mystery if the Warriors re-sign Draymond Green, which is looking more and more likely, this offseason. Nevertheless, at just 20 years old, there’s no question that Kuminga remains one of the team’s most intriguing trade assets.

Kuminga did continue to show promise during his second season in the league. He improved in almost every aspect for the Warriors this season. He averaged more points, rebounds, and assists while also being more of an efficient offensive player as well. He was stapled to the bench for the majority of Golden State’s postseason, much to the frustration of many fans and analysts. Perhaps there’s a world in which that experience actually holds him in good stead moving forward.

If the Warriors wanted to trade Kuminga this offseason, perhaps for a more of a veteran talent, there’s no question that they could get a deal done. While it’s almost impossible to predict what his ceiling could be, that’s part of the draw surrounding Kuminga on the open market.
