The Golden State Warriors dynasty has been led by Stephen Curry. The nine-time All-Star has been the best player on four championship teams in eight years as he changed the game. The two-time MVP will go down as one of the best shooters of all-time, and a key figure in altering the geometry of the game.
Is the dynasty over? The Warriors have been built around Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green since 2012, but their historic payroll needs trimming. Will the Dubs make significant changes this summer? Does Green find a new home?
Stephen Curry is locked in through 2026, and Golden State is not letting the all-time great go anywhere. The Dubs will be building around him, and they could look to add pieces that Curry knows well.

5. Damion Lee
Lee is Curry’s brother-in-law, and he spent four years as a bench player in Golden State. The 6’5 wing helped them win the championship in 2022 before signing a one-year deal with the Phoenix Suns last summer. After joining the team, he had this to say about leaving the Dubs.
"“(Head coach Monty Williams) was surprised I was looking elsewhere after winning a championship. For myself, just personal growth and wanting to blaze my own path, showcase who I am, and how my skillset has gotten me to this point.”"
He noted that he was tired of his play always being linked to Curry. Lee wants to prove that he belongs in the league and deserves his minutes solely based on his play. The 6’5 wing averaged 8.2 points and 3.0 rebounds in 20.4 minutes per game this season as he shot 44.5 percent from three-point range.
The Warriors would certainly like to have him back, and it is always positive being surrounded by family. Could Damion Lee reunite with the Dubs this summer as an unrestricted free agent? It sounds like he’s focused on building his own reputation, but do not rule out a reunion.
