Ranking 5 Golden State Warriors free agent targets with ties to Stephen Curry

4. Juan Toscano-Anderson
‘JTA’ battled his way to the NBA. He went undrafted in 2015, and Toscano-Anderson played in Mexico, Venezuela, and the G League before finally getting a shot with the Warriors in 2020. The 6’6 wing played well enough that he stayed for three seasons as a reserve. JTA helped the Dubs win the title in 2022 before departing for the Lakers in free agency.
He was hoping for more playing time, but ultimately was unable to find it. He was out of the rotation for large stretches before being traded to Utah in the deal that brought D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Malik Beasley to LA.
Toscano-Anderson played 15.2 minutes per game over his final 22 contests with the Jazz, but he failed to put up significant numbers. The 30-year-old will be searching for a minimum deal in free agency and must prioritize between winning and playing time.
Could the Warriors look to bring him back this summer? He will be an unrestricted free agent, and the Dubs will focus on more wing depth. Golden State wants to stay in contention, and Juan Toscano-Anderson would give them some size, shooting, and playmaking ability off the bench as he did in his first stint with the team.
