Ranking 5 Golden State Warriors free agent targets with ties to Stephen Curry
By Tyler Watts
2. Seth Curry
Could the Curry brothers be on the same team next season? Seth is an unrestricted free agent, and the Brooklyn Nets are facing plenty of uncertainty. They traded Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving before the deadline. The Nets held on to make the playoffs, and they did well in stockpiling assets, but they need a superstar to be serious contenders. If Brooklyn cannot acquire one, will they look to further teardown their roster?
Seth Curry is an elite shooter in his own right. The 6’2 guard made 40.5 percent from three-point range this season, which was his lowest mark since 2015. He is a career 43.5 percent shooter from downtown, which is currently the sixth-best mark in league history.
The younger Curry played for the Warriors briefly in 2013 before being waived, and the 32-year-old was happy to blaze his own path in the NBA. Have things changed as the younger Curry looks to win his first championship?
Could Seth Curry give the Golden State Warriors another elite shooter next season? The move feels like a real possibility for the first time since 2013. The Dubs won’t be able to offer much money, and Seth Curry would have to prioritize competing for a championship over a larger contract in free agency.
