1. Kevin Love
Love and Curry will forever be linked because of a clutch play in Cleveland’s historic 2016 championship. In 2019, Stephen Curry said he could have driven past Kevin Love, but the veteran big man did not seem to agree. Either way, the Cavs got the stop and won the championship.
Years before that moment, Love and Curry were Team USA teammates at the 2010 FIBA World Cup. Both came off the bench on the gold medal winning squad. Team USA only had one close game in the tournament. They beat Brazil 70-68, and that was the only single-digit scoring margin for the Americans at the event.
Could Love and Curry join forces in Golden State? The 6’8 big man will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and he joined the Heat after a buyout in Cleveland to play more minutes and compete for a title. Love has now been a key factor in several games as Miami have reached the Conference Finals from the eighth-seed.
If Draymond Green departs, Kevin Love would be a fantastic replacement. Would the 34-year-old be willing to take less money to join the Dubs in free agency? Love will get larger contract offers, but Golden State may be his best opportunity to win a ring.
Who will the Golden State Warriors add to their roster this offseason? They are facing a massive luxury tax bill and an impending roster shakeup. Can the Dubs stay in contention? Stay tuned to find out.
