2. Brice Sensabaugh

Brice Sensabaugh came on strong towards the end of the year, and his draft stock has risen as a result. Looking to be the next one-and-done to come out of Ohio State, Sensabaugh projects to be another solid three-level scorer at the NBA level.

In his freshman season, Sensabaugh averaged 16.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists, while shooting 48% from the field and 40.5% from 3-point range. He is another talented scorer who can hurt you in a variety of ways —  his jumper is deadly and he will have no problem adapting to the NBA three-point line, as he regularly knocked down threes from range. At 6’6, 235 lbs, he is built like an NFL linebacker, and he used his size advantage to bully smaller guards on the block in isolation.

The 19-year-old is a prominent shot-maker who fits the “bucket-getter” mold, possessing an advanced handle for his size and a natural feel for the game that can’t be taught. Sensabaugh is a tough finisher through contact and he has a knack for the big moments, knocking down some key shots for Ohio State throughout the year.

Sensabaugh is an attractive scoring talent, but there are still some questions surrounding his ability to see the floor, which has limited him as a playmaker. Sensabaugh tends to get tunnel vision, often forcing low-quality shots and losing sight of his teammates in the flow of the half-court offense.

He also has his flaws defensively, including his lateral quickness and reaction time, which have made him a target on that end of the floor. Sensabaugh has the size and strength to be a solid defender, but he will have to work on his agility and awareness if he wants to be successful in the big leagues.

Nevertheless, the flashy wing would be a nice addition to the Warriors’ arsenal of young talent. He would be a work in progress, no doubt, but the upside is there, and if Golden State decides to embrace its young core sooner than expected, Sensabaugh would be another talented scorer for the Warriors to develop.
