3. Dorian Finney-Smith

The Warriors may not want to take back long-term money, but what if it comes at a reasonable price? Finney-Smith has three years and $44.2 million left on his contract. His deal could be used in a future trade or just kept as a way to keep their spending down. The Dubs need some mid-tier contracts for flexibility, and Doe-Doe provides that.

The 6’7 forward has the size to guard the league’s elite scoring wings like LeBron James, and he just played a key role in the Mavericks’ run to the conference finals in 2022 that was ended by the Dubs. Finney-Smith entered the league as a subpar shooter, but he has worked his way into a 37.7 percent marksman over the last four years combined.

Doe-Doe is not going to command the ball. He is comfortable as a catch-and-shoot option on offense that can guard any player on the floor. Finney-Smith enhances the Warriors versatility, flexibility, and defense as they attempt to make another push.

The Brooklyn Nets are in the early stages of retooling their roster after trading away Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. They would likely jump at the chance to get a 24-year-old capable of scoring 20 points per game. Can the Golden State Warriors find a deal that suits them?
