Trade up to No. 9

If the Golden State Warriors wanted another option in their pursuit of trading up, the Utah Jazz seem like another team that could look to trade down, or at least would be open to it. In this hypothetical deal, the Warriors would send Moses Moody, the No. 19 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, and their 2026 first-round pick (top 10 protected) in order to jump up to No. 9.

The Jazz would get an intriguing wing prospect with Moody, still have another first-round pick (which they could possibly package with their other two first-rounders to move up if they wanted), and a future first-rounder to move down 10 spots. The Warriors would jump up and still be able to take their target.

In this deal, Golden State would be able to retain Jonathan Kuminga, who they could still theoretically flip for a future first-round pick if they wanted to fill the void of trading away their 2026 first-rounder. Or, they could keep him and allow him to continue to develop behind Draymond Green (assuming he is re-signed).

A big part of this deal would hinge on the Jazz being high on Moody and turned off by what is still on the board when they go on the clock at No. 9.
