Dream comparison: Malcolm Brogdon

Brandin Podziemski does not have Jalen Brunson’s upside or shiftiness. The 6’1 point guard scored 24.0 points per game last season as he led the Knicks to the second round of the playoffs. JB could be an All-Star in 2024, but they are both lefties that can make tough shots.

Podziemski should be looking to become Malcolm Brogdon, a smart player that does everything. He is an elite shooter that can score from anywhere, makes plays, and rebounds well. The reigning Sixth Man of the Year averages 15.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in 29.5 minutes per game for his career through seven seasons.

Brogdon is also 6’4, but he is heavier and has a longer wingspan. If gives him a bit more versatility on the defensive end of the floor, but Podziemski becoming the number three scorer with playmaking and rebounding chops would be a massive win for the Dubs with the 19th pick.

Bradin Podziemski may never be a star, but the Golden State Warriors selected a crafty role player that should be able to help them quickly. The franchise needs that if they plan on winning a championship in 2024. The 20-year-old will continue to improve, so stay tuned to watch his growth.
