The NBA has officially unveiled the schedule for this year’s Summer League in Las Vegas, with the Golden State Warriors to play at least four games starting on July 7 against the Los Angeles Lakers.

However, prior to that, Warrior fans will get their first look at the franchise’s latest young talent when Golden State once again take part in the annual California Classic at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

The NBA Summer League will provide Golden State Warriors’ fans with an initial impression on new draftees Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis.

The Warriors will take on the Kings on Monday July 3 at 7PM PT — the last of a three-game slate that includes a matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and Charlotte Hornets that could pit number one overall pick Victor Wembanyama against number two pick Brandon Miller.

Two days later Golden State will take on Charlotte in the afternoon game at 3PM PT. The two games in Sacramento will provide early observations on Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis, the latest members of the Warriors with whom the franchise took with the 19th and 57th picks in Thursday’s NBA Draft.

Golden State will begin the Vegas leg of their Summer League against Jalen Hood-Schifino (17th overall pick) and the Lakers on July 7 at 8PM PT, before facing the New Orleans Pelicans two days later at 7PM.

The Warriors take on the Dallas Mavericks on July 12 at 2:30PM. That matchup could provide a closer look at Dereck Lively II who Golden State had been linked to pre-draft before Dallas pounced at pick 12.

Their final scheduled game to this point is against the Houston Rockets at 4PM on July 13. The Warriors somewhat controversially declined Cam Whitmore at the 19th pick, with the Rockets jumping at him with pick 20 following the drastic slide of the projected top 10 pick.

At 23-years-old, much of the focus might be on Jackson-Davis to see if he can dominate this level of competition in a similar manner to what he did the collegiate system during his senior year. Either way, it’ll be an exciting time in the wake of a busy draft and free agency period for Golden State.
