The Golden State Warriors could have plenty of big moves up their sleeves. They don’t have to be obvious; very few saw Mike Dunleavy Jr. trading Jordan Poole for Chris Paul. There could be another blockbuster trade in the works, perhaps even using Paul’s contract as matching salary.

Barring the unexpected, however, the Warriors need to fill out their roster with players signed to minimum contracts. One path to finding those players is to lean on Paul’s relationships with former teammates around the league. Which free agents could Paul help to recruit to the Warriors?

Free Agent No. 7: DeAndre Jordan, Center

We begin our list with the OG Chris Paul teammate, going all the way back to the Lob City Clippers and DeAndre Jordan. The 6’11” center caught countless lobs from CP3 and threw them down for monstrous slams. He had at least 150 dunks each season he played with Paul, and as many as 250.

Jordan is a fringe player at this point, a solid rebounder and immobile rim protector. He was a solid locker room vet on the NBA champion Denver Nuggets this past season. Could he be the emergency center for the Warriors and try to contribute to another title team?
