Then the season itself happened, and Green once again proved himself irreplaceable, a crucial piece on a team that still believes itself a title contender. Despite rumors of the contrary, the two sides ended up working out a deal for Green to return to the Warriors.

Not only was the deal finalized, but it came in as the first announcement of the legal tampering period. The final numbers? Four years, $100 million, with a player option on the fourth year:
