Projected to have the league’s highest payroll again heading into next season, the Golden State Warriors possess a group of veteran players in the midst of notably big contracts.

But what about career earnings? Four Warrior players will enter next season at 33 years of age or older, giving the franchise one of the most highly-credentialed rosters in the league with players that have been paid accordingly.

The Golden State Warriors’ current 2023-24 roster has earned in excess of $1.3 billion across the course of their careers.

On Sunday we looked at the NBA’s new In-Season Tournament and the fact that given the veteran roster, a number of key players aren’t going to be motivated by the prize money on offer for reaching the knockout stages.

While money clearly motivates people in different ways, let’s look at the career earnings of each Golden State player and how it may influence the current point of their career.

*All values estimated according to Spotrac

* List excludes rookies Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis

1. Chris Paul – $359,109,419

18 years into his illustrious career, there’s no surprise that Chris Paul has notched up over $350 million in salary. The highest earning season of the 38-year-old’s career came in 2020-21 where he made $41.36 million. Although the Warriors’ newest acquisition is playing for a $30 million non-guaranteed deal for the 2024-25 season, Paul’s primary focus will be on winning that elusive championship.

2. Stephen Curry – $302,806,362

Stephen Curry may now be on one of the biggest contracts in the league, but there was a time where the franchise’s greatest ever was arguably the most underpaid player in NBA history. The 35-year-old won his back-to-back MVP’s making less than $12 million, with that four-year, $44 million deal (signed in 2012) keeping him behind Paul in second on this list.
