As one of the best players in the league for over a decade, Golden State Warriors’ superstar Stephen Curry is no stranger to the top of the ratings when it comes to each new iteration of NBA 2K.
The ratings reveals for 2K24 have begun this week, with the top 12 now in place ahead of the game’s release in less than a month. The official ratings are always a point of contention, yet there’d be few arguing against those at the very top.
Stephen Curry will begin NBA 2K24 as a 96 overall, with the Golden State Warriors’ franchise star alongside a host of the league’s best players.
Curry has been rated as a 96 overall for the the third-straight season, a remarkable achievement given the two-time MVP is now 35-years-old. Curry averaged 29.4 points per game last season, the third-highest mark of his career.
The last time Curry began a 2K at less than a 96 overall was 2K21 where he was a 95. That came after a year in which Curry played just five games due to a broken hand sustained early in the 2019-20 season.
Reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic has been rewarded for his legendary season that culminated with his first championship, topping the ratings as a 98 overall. The Serbian sat alongside Curry as a 96 heading into NBA 2K23.
Curry is one of five players to be rated a 96 behind Jokic, joining fellow veterans LeBron James and Kevin Durant, MVP Joel Embiid and another two-time MVP in Giannis Antetokounmpo. The latter headed NBA 2K23 as a 97 overall.
The four-time NBA champion remains the highest rated point-guard, sitting just ahead of Dallas Mavericks’ star Luka Doncic who’s a 95. The top 12 is rounded out by Jayson Tatum (95), Jimmy Butler (95), Kawhi Leonard (94), Devin Booker (94) and Damian Lillard (94).
Ratings for other Warrior players are sure to be revealed over the coming days and weeks. NBA 2K24 is set to release on September 8, allowing fans to get their NBA fix ahead of the new season in October.
