Projecting Golden State Warriors monthly win-loss record: February
With the NBA Schedule now in place, expectations can be set for the Golden State Warriors’ 2023-24 season. Over the next few weeks, Blue Man Hoop will provide projections on the franchise’s win-loss record with a month-by-month preview.
Five-straight road games headlines an important period for Golden State just before the All-Star break. A winning record in that stint will be crucial in creating momentum for the final stretch of the season, while some tricky home games also present with visits from the Phoenix Suns, both Los Angeles teams, and the Denver Nuggets.
February 2, 2024: at Memphis Grizzlies 5:00 PM
The Grizzlies should be hard to beat on their home floor and although the Warriors will certainly fancy their chances, it’s unlikely they enter the game as favorites.
Result: Golden State loss
February 3, 2024: at Atlanta Hawks 4:30 PM
The Warriors will be on the second night of a road back-to-back and haven’t won in Atlanta for five years. That’s not a great combination heading into a game where Golden State may rest some of their stars.

February 5, 2024: at Brooklyn Nets 4:30 PM
Brooklyn will be dangerous next season particularly on their home floor, but the reality is they’re still expected by many to miss the playoffs.
Result: Golden State win
February 7, 2024: at Philadelphia 76ers 4:00 PM
This game will take place around the mid-season trade deadline, opening up the potential of a uncertain dynamic should James Harden still be with the 76ers. Even Regardless, the pairing of Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey will be hard to beat.
Result: Golden State loss
February 8, 2024: at Indiana Pacers 4:00 PM
This presents as a real danger game for the Warriors on the second night of a back-to-back. They’ll be well aware of the Pacers’ capabilities having lost in Indiana last season.

February 10, 2024: vs. Phoenix Suns 5:30 PM
Assuming full health, which is a big assumption on both teams, Warriors-Suns matchups will be genuine a toss-up for all four meetings.

February 12, 2024: at Utah Jazz 6:00 PM
Golden State have lost their last two games in Utah but will be looking to avenge that against what is likely to be a lottery team.

February 14, 2024: vs. Los Angeles Clippers 7:00 PM
The unpredictable nature of the Clippers makes things difficult, but you’d expect the Warriors to be favorites in the final game before the All-Star break.

February 22, 2024: vs. Los Angeles Lakers 7:00 PM
It’s difficult to put any space between the teams heading into the season, and you’d expect that to remain throughout as each look for a top-four seed. Golden State will likely be favorites on their home floor.

February 23, 2024: vs. Charlotte Hornets 7:00 PM
It may be a back-to-back but it’s also coming immediately after an eight-day break. Add in the fact Charlotte will likely be a lottery team again and you should see a Warrior victory.

February 25, 2024: vs. Denver Nuggets 4:00 PM
A battle against the reigning champions to end a three-game in four-day stint. That probably doesn’t bode well for success from a Warrior perspective.

February 27, 2024: at Washington Wizards 4:00 PM
The second and final meeting for the season against Ex-Warrior Jordan Poole. The young guard should prove a dangerous threat all season, but that doesn’t change the fact that Washington are entering a rebuild.

Golden State had won eight in a row at Madison Square Garden before last season’s blowout 132-94 loss. The Knicks are no longer the same pushover they’ve been in the past.
