3. Chris Paul gets reunited with former coach as Warriors add wing depth

This could be a reunion trade on several levels. The Pistons are improved under new head coach Monty Williams but appear destined for the lottery. They could look to sell veterans before the deadline, and Bojan Bogdanovic will likely draw the most interest. Former Warrior Alec Burks will also be on the block, and Golden State could look to acquire both players.

Williams got his first head coaching gig in 2010 with the New Orleans Hornets led by Chris Paul. The duo reunited a decade later in Phoenix and helped transform the Suns into a contender. CP3 could have a third stint with Monty if the Warriors make this deal before the deadline.

Dubs-Pistons swap

This two-for-one gives the Warriors more size and shooting. Burks should be familiar with their system and averaged a career-high in points and assists per game in his 48 contests with the Dubs in the 2020-21 season before being dealt at the deadline. Bogdanovic can score 20 every night and is a career 39.4 percent 3-point shooter. The Warriors are a jump-shooting team, so every shooter helps.

Chris Paul could lead the young Pistons or be bought out to head to a contender. The Pistons would get an unprotected 2028 first-round pick in this deal, which could be a lottery selection.
