1. Warriors go all-in on acquiring prime star

Donovan Mitchell is no stranger to trade rumors and those rumblings will continue to get louder. He cannot become a free agent until the summer of 2025, but the Cavaliers have no plans for him to get there. Mitchell has to re-sign in the offseason or Cleveland will look to trade him. If the four-time All-Star wants out, that move could come before February’s deadline.

This is the Warriors' chance to get an in his prime star. Mitchell is 27 and has proven to be unafraid of the moment. Golden State would have a small backcourt, but that is a gamble worth taking for an aging roster that desperately needs more talent.

Dubs get Mitchell

The Warriors would be all-in if they acquired Donovan Mitchell. That is a scary place to be with Stephen Curry turning 36 before the regular season concludes. Mitchell would be the face of the next era in Golden State and would certainly boost their 2024 title odds.

The Golden State Warriors will only trade Klay Thompson for an upgrade. It will cost them draft capital, but the franchise owes it to Curry to give him a chance to win it all. Trading his Splash Brother would be a difficult decision, but one the franchise might have to make if Klay does not improve.
