Stephen Curry was the biggest Warriors star in attendance at the Golden State Valkyries game on Monday night, but fans were quick to highlight who the two-time MVP was sitting next to during the 78-70 victory over the Dallas Wings.

Curry was alongside former Philadelphia 76ers wing Dalen Terry, all but confirming his addition to the training camp roster after previous reports of the Warriors' interest in the 24-year-old.

Curry and Terry were also joined by veteran Warrior guard Gary Payton II and second-year wing Will Richard, while general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. received a mixed response from the home crowd after a quiet offseason for the franchise.

NBA insider Jake Fischer reported last week that Golden State are interested in bringing Terry to training camp. While there's been no official reported signing as yet, Monday's attendance next to Curry is an obvious and clear indication that Terry will be part of the training camp roster.

Terry was acquired by the 76ers in February on a two-way contract, appearing in 14 games for the franchise which was enough to secure a new two-year deal. However, after initially having his team option picked up prior to free agency, Terry was waived on July 25 to make room for the blockbuster signing of LeBron James and the further addition of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Initially a first-round pick of the Chicago Bulls in 2022, Terry played 204 games across 3.5 seasons in the Windy City. He holds career averages of 3.5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists on 44.3% shooting from the floor and 31.4% from 3-point range.

Dalen Terry may not make the Warriors opening night roster

As much as Monday night's events are essentially confirmation of Terry's place on the training camp roster, it far from guarantees him remaining part of the Warriors when they face the Los Angeles Lakers for the regular season opener on October 21.

Fischer reported that Golden State were only looking at Terry on a training camp deal, and it would make sense for the front office to set up a preseason battle for the former 18th pick and others to fight for the 15th roster spot.

Given long-term injuries to starting wings Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody, Dunleavy confirmed last week that the Warriors will use all their available roster spots rather than leave one open for tax purposes.
