There doesn't appear to be an end in sight for the Golden State Warriors and their Kristaps Porzingis drama, at least not over the coming weeks as rival teams continue to evaluate their respective rosters early in the season.

Danny Emerman of The San Fransisco Standard also reported on Sunday that the Warriors aren't considering washing their hands of the Porzingis situation by orchestrating a buyout or trying to void the veteran's contract as he remains away from the team.

Kristaps Porzingis' drama shows no sign of ending anytime soon

While Golden State would surely love to find a solution to the Porzingis situation sooner rather than later, and ideally one that addresses their weakened frontcourt rotation, they're also likely to remain patient to see what options materialize before the mid-season deadline.

The team's on-court form could also allow them to remain patient. An 0-3 start delivered some panic over the Warriors' season and the Porzingis drama, but three-straight wins and there's optimism that the franchise can keep itself upright and in a reasonable state until Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody return from injury, and until the Porzingis drama is resolved.

In his Porzingis report, Emerman referred to Ben Simmons' situation with the Philadelphia 76ers over half a decade ago. The three-time All-Star was in a holdout with the 76ers that didn't end till just before the deadline when he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in a deal for James Harden. Will Golden State have to wait all the way till February for this situation to resolve? Perhaps.

In an ideal world, the Warriors would make a deal right now that delivers them an instant upgrade, hopefully at center, while preserving the flexibility to make another move closer to the deadline.

Warriors' recent form makes Kristaps Porzingis situation more painful

In an even more ideal, but far more fanciful world, Porzingis would actually be playing for Golden State and proving the reliable starting center they need. As much as their recent impressive form may give the front office more time and patience, it also makes the whole Porzingis situation more painful.

With Yaxel Lendeborg's stunning rise, improvement from Brandin Podziemski, and Stephen Curry still proving one of the best players in the world, Porzingis could have been the final piece (along with Butler's return) to a sneaky contender in the Western Conference.

The Warriors are instead left with trying to find that piece/s on the trade market, while also placing an early season burden on veterans Draymond Green and Al Horford to handle the center position.
