The Golden State Warriors officially signed Brandon Williams and Georges Niang to round out their main roster on Tuesday, having been linked to the pair since earlier in free agency.
While the Williams and Niang additions aren't overly surprising, it does leave some fascination over what the Warriors plans were/are for Dalen Terry who is seemingly now in limbo after appearing like a training camp invite.

Terry was recently linked to the Warriors after being waived by the Philadelphia 76ers to make room for the additions of LeBron James and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. The former first-round pick was then seen sitting next to Stephen Curry recently at a Golden State Valkyries game, leading to assumptions that Terry was bound for the training camp roster where he could challenge for a roster spot.
That no longer appears to be the case. Golden State now have a full 15-man roster after signing Williams and Niang, while all contracts are fully guaranteed outside Charles Bassey who doesn't appear to be going anywhere after only signing last month.
After just completing his fourth year in the league, Terry also isn't eligible for the Warriors' one remaining two-way contract. That means his only chance of being on the roster come opening night is if Golden State execute a trade that opens up a spot, which appears very unlikely and they're obviously not going to do it just to add Terry.
It also leaves the question as to why Terry was sitting next to Curry at a Valkyries game if they had plans to add Williams and Niang? Is there actually a chance of a trade that opens up a spot? It's very confusing and makes little sense.
Dalen Terry needs to look elsewhere for another NBA opportunity
It appeared Terry had his eyes on at least a training camp contract with Golden State, but he should now be looking elsewhere in the hope of extending his career into a fifth season. Those chances appear slim given he hasn't been snapped up by a rival team in the month since he was waived by Philadelphia.
Perhaps Terry still comes to training camp with the Warriors, is an extra body to play during preseason, then plays for Santa Cruz in the G League in the hope of impressing and earning a call up if a roster spot becomes available.
That would seem the most logical solution, but it doesn't remove the fact that his appearance at the Valkyries game alongside Curry now appears confusing after these latest signings on Tuesday.
