The Golden State Warriors have reportedly parted ways with Omer Yurtseven in the late stages of the regular season, putting an end to the Turkish center's 20-day stint with the team.

According to Danny Emerman of The San Fransisco Standard, Yurtseven was seen saying goodbye to teammates in the locker room after Thursday night's 118-111 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers at Chase Center.

Warriors reportedly part ways with center Omer Yurtseven

It's an unsurprising move given the Warriors still have Nate Williams and LJ Cryer on two-way contracts, both of who have had more impact than Yurtseven in recent weeks amid the team's significant injury crisis.

The Warriors will surely choose between Williams or Cryer to convert onto the main roster at the end of the regular season, allowing one of them to be active for the team's first Play-In game and any other subsequent postseason outings beyond that.

Williams played a staggering near 47 minutes on Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs, recording 18 points and four rebounds in the 14-point loss. Cryer had 12 points off the bench on Thursday against the Cavaliers, including nailing three 3-pointers in a row during a blistering stretch in the third-quarter.

Yurtseven had his best game as a Warrior against the Spurs, recording a season-high in minutes (29), points (17), rebounds (eight), assists (four) and blocks (one). Yet with the return of veteran center Kristaps Porzingis on Thursday, Yurtseven was a DNP in the rotation for the second time in the past six games.

Omer Yurtseven didn't do enough to stick with the Warriors

After Al Horford suffered a calf strain against the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 13, Yurtseven was signed to a 10-day contract out of the G League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. With Horford still on the sidelines and Quinten Post dealing with a foot injury, Yurtseven got a second 10-day contract to aid Golden State's short-handed big man rotation.

But a player isn't able to sign more than two 10-day contracts with a team, and evidently Yurtseven didn't do enough to stick with the Warriors. He averaged 3.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists in his nine appearances, playing nearly 12 minutes per game where he shot 42.3% from the floor.

There remains serious intrigue on Golden State's center rotation moving into next season, with the 39-year-old Horford holding a $6 million player option, along with Porzingis (unrestricted) and Post (restricted) set to enter free agency. It's now safe to say Yurtseven doesn't figure in the Warriors plans though going forward.
