The Warriors are going to try to sign superstar Kevin Durant. If they can’t, here are five other free agents worth taking a look at.

The entire landscape of the NBA could look very different by this time next week.

Contenders could fall to the lottery and fringe playoff teams can have a shot at making a deep postseason runs. On an individual level, the lives of players will change forever. With the rising salary cap, a lot of players are going to get a lot of money.

The Golden State Warriors are coming off a historic season that fell a few shots short of being the undisputed greatest year of all-time. They won a record 73 games in the regular season. They had the first ever unanimous MVP in Stephen Curry, an All-NBA player in Draymond Green, and an All-Star in Klay Thompson. Steve Kerr won Coach of the Year. Andre Iguodala fell just short of winning Sixth Man of the Year.

It was a truly special season that ended in heartbreak as LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers became the first team in NBA history to overcome a 3-1 deficit in the Finals.

The Warriors are considered the favorites to win the Larry O’Brien trophy next season. Their core of Curry, Thompson, and Green are still intact. They plan on bringing Shaun Livingston back and, barring something huge, Iguodala will be suiting up for Golden State again.

Despite their greatness over the last few years and their projected success next year, this roster has a lot of holes and flaws that need to be addressed through free agency. Obviously, Kevin Durant is the main attraction. But if that doesn’t work out (and even if it does), the Warriors still have other flaws that they need to fix.

Here are five non-Durant free agents the Warriors could go after.
