Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant isn’t taking any chances in his return to Oklahoma City and has hired extra security personnel.

The biggest game on the schedule in the NBA regular season takes place tonight, when Kevin Durant makes his return to Oklahoma City. It’s going to be an emotional game, as he plays the team he spent his entire career with before bolting for the Warriors in free agency. With that being said, there’s going to be a lot of upset fans present for the game on Saturday night.

Kevin Durant isn’t taking any chances with the crazy fans at all. ESPN’s Chris Haynes put out a report earlier, that Durant has hired extra security for this game. The security is for himself, his teammates and his mother, who will also be in attendance at the game.

The security was everywhere, according to Draymond Green’s Snapchat. account. The All-Star forward pointed out how they even had security on their floor. Durant’s made sure that everyone is safe for this one.

While nothing is likely to happen, it’s always good to err on the side of caution for these events. The safety of the players and the fans is of the highest concern for the NBA. The Oklahoma City Thunder have a great fan base and they are some of the most passionate fans in the league.

It would be a shame for someone to try and ruin their great image. Durant knows the meaning of this game and the city still means a lot to him. He will likely be booed relentlessly, but that’s perfectly fine. Fans pay good money to attend games and can boo or cheer until they are content.

The Warriors and Thunder have met twice this season already with Golden State getting the better of both games. However, there’s going to be a different type of feel to this one and that means they better be ready to play their best basketball yet.
