Having Stephen Curry at full health should be the difference for the Golden State Warriors in the 2017 NBA Playoffs.

With only one meaningless game left in the regular season, the Golden State Warriors are about to embark on yet hopefully another championship run. They will face the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the playoffs and it will be the second year in a row the two teams meet. Last year’s series of course saw the return of Stephen Curry.

After spraining his knee against the Houston Rockets, Curry had to endure a playoff run ultimately not at full strength. He still had his moments from time to time and one of those big performances came against the Trail Blazers, in what turned out to be a tough series with his absence.

This year, Curry enters the playoffs at full health and with the swagger that he had during the 2014-15 season, when the Warriors won the NBA Championship. With Curry at full health and the addition of Kevin Durant, that will make the team more dangerous than they were last year.

Now, every team has to deal with injuries and Golden State certainly shouldn’t use his health last season as an excuse for blowing the lead in the NBA Finals. Still, it will be interesting to see just the difference in his performance on the floor.

Portland is the perfect team for the Warriors to begin the playoffs again as well. With a great talent across from Curry such as Damian Lillard. Those two should engage in an excellent shooting battle and it should bring the best out of the two-time MVP.

A healthy Curry is simply a different monster. He’s the individual that has no problem from pulling up from anywhere on the court and firing away. It affects his teammates positively and the vibe on the floor is day and night compared to the uncertainties of his health last year. Needless to say, Curry at full health is the ultimate weapon for Golden State.
