Stephen Curry played in 78 games last season, the most since his rookie year. That’s surprising due to the number of times he sprained his ankles during the course of the season. When healthy, Curry is a top-10 player in the NBA. Unfortunately, there have been multiple times when Curry was slowed not by opposing guards, but his own physical ailments.
If Curry can spend an entire offseason working on basketball, there’s no telling what level of greatness he can achieve. Still, those results depend on Curry’s ankles holding up over the course of a physically grueling and exhausting season. It’s no stretch to say that the Warriors’ success will only go as far as Curry’s ankles will take them.
