Many have put Chris Paul at the top of the point guard list for years, but now there is a clear favorite, and no one too close behind.
Chris Paul has changed whatever franchise he has been a part of. He took the New Orleans Hornets from relative obscurity to a few solid playoff runs. After being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, Paul has elevated the team from being perennial losers to one of the favorites to win the West.
Alongside Blake Griffin, Paul has made the Clippers a destination spot for free agents and finally made the Clippers the dominant team in the Pacific.
CP3 has literally ran every gym he’s ever stepped foot in, no matter the size and leaping abilities of his opponents. He has the clutch gene, as seen in this year’s playoff run, and is arguably the best passer in the game. The only downside of how he plays is that he’ll intentionally over-pass through the first three and a half quarters of a game, only to take over the final few minutes and dominate his opposition on both ends of the court.
Paul is one of the few superstars we have in this game, and he has earned his spot atop this list.
