5 (more) adjustments the Warriors could make
Have fun
The Warriors need to play like themselves and have fun.
This one is probably a little corny and it isn’t really a basketball strategy, but it’s still valid.
The Warriors are at their best when they play free and have fun. They’ve become the most enjoyable team to watch in the entire Association over the last few years because they genuinely like playing with each other and it shows. They feed off each other’s energy.
There hasn’t been a lot to smile about lately for the Warriors and they have a long way to go, down 3-1. But they can’t be tense or scared. They need to be themselves. That doesn’t mean showboating, jumping, and dancing, but it means remembering why you play the game. These guys love to play the game and it’s time for them to get back to the love.
Their best shot at winning is to be themselves. Green’s “me against the world” attitude can be a very positive asset when he’s not trying to do too much. The rest of the team need to keep doing what they’ve been doing all year long. Mistakes are going to happen. Instead of harping on them, they need to move on to the next play and do better when the opportunity comes up again.
No one can beat this team when they’re having fun. It’s the playoffs and they’ll be at home.
