Here’s what we should expect from the second meeting between the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night.
At 35-6, it feels like an eternity since the first time the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder first played at the Oracle Arena this season. On Wednesday night, the two teams will meet again in Oakland. Will it have the same excitement that the first one had?
The first meeting between these two wasn’t much of a game as much as it was about what happened before the game. Russell Westbrook showed up as a cameraman and the rest of the night was history.

Although the Warriors won in a blowout, it felt like just the first night of an impending rivalry. With a feud on the rise between two former teammates, here’s what to expect from the second meeting between these two teams this season.
3. A big night from Stephen Curry
One of the biggest reasons the Warriors have taken off over the past few weeks is Stephen Curry. He’s really finding his groove again among a new roster this season and he’s put together the production that we have come to expect from him. More importantly, he’s creating looks for his teammates and moving the ball has been the driving force behind recent wins. Expect to him to push the ball and get everyone going early.
2. Another triple-double performance from Russell Westbrook
The safest bet of the night is that Russell Westbrook is going to finish with a triple-double performance. While he’s going to go against the likes of Shaun Livington on occasion and Draymond Green likely, he’s still going to get his.

If the other Thunder don’t bring their best it might end up having the result of Westbrook’s stat line being even more inflated. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Golden State let him have his while shutting off every other option on Oklahoma City.
1. More antics
The budding rivalry between Westbrook and Durant is just in it’s beginning stages. Durant hasn’t even returned to Oklahoma City yet nor have the Warriors and Thunder played in the NBA Finals. Westbrook stole the show in defeat in the last meeting and one should expect more to be said in this one. Even if it’s not verbal, there will be plenty to add to this rivalry from their actions on and off the court.
