Go for the throat

The Golden State Warriors need to stay level headed. They can’t win if their emotions go unchecked. But they also need to play with fire.

They have a year of anger and frustration inside of them. For a guy like Kevin Durant, this has been years in the making. They need to go for the throat.

The Warriors (and Durant) were up 3-1 in last year’s postseason. They took their foot off the gas and fell. That can’t happen again.

Golden State knows that they have to close out every game. Nothing is guaranteed. They need to play at 100 percent all of the time until the final buzzer sounds.

In order to fully get redemption, Golden State can’t just win. They have to dominate. They need to eat the souls of every one in wine and gold.

The Warriors ned to break the Cavaliers. They need to be aggressive. Instead of messing around with rotations and keeping Steph Curry off the ball, they need to use their best lineups and sets from the beginning.

Draymond Green needs to see red. Even if they have Cleveland right where they want them, they can’t just expect them to fall. They need to land that knockout punch.

The Cavaliers are their rivals. Like Green said, they want to annihilate the defending champs. The only way they win is if they go for the kill.

Chase every loose ball, refuse to give up easy baskets, fire at will. It’s how they’ll win. And it’s how they’ll redeem themselves after last season.

The Warriors need to snatch the crown from LeBron James.
