Golden State Warriors 10 best moments from Game 1
Steph sheds LeBron
The rivalry between Stephen Curry and LeBron James is one of the best in sports. While the two stars will never acknowledge it publicly, it exists. It’s there and it has been for a few years now.
Both of them have been linked to each other for some time. James sat courtside to watch Curry play at Davidson and, after hitting a clutch three, stared down the NBA star. Since then, they’ve engaged in some epic battles, including the last two NBA Finals.
James has four MVP awards. Curry has won the last two, the second of which was the league’s first unanimous selection. While they’ve been, mostly, respectful of each other, they’ve had words to say to each other, especially on the court during last year’s NBA Finals.
They’ve competed for the title of best player in the world. Curry’s second straight MVP campaign coming off a championship definitely put him in that conversation, especially as James’ team seemed to struggle and lack an identity. It was a rivalry that seemed to be the next great one, like Magic Johnson versus Larry Bird.
It looks like they added another highlight to that rivalry mixtape.

Curry came off the screen and, when James stepped up, hit him with that inside out dribble. James bit and ran into the pick. The greatest shooter of all-time stepped to the right and was wide open. He launched and splashed the three.
This is just another example of how a healthy Curry can do some serious damage. Last year, he couldn’t move side to side with that kind of quickness. He looks like a different player.
It was a great move that Curry put on his nemesis. It was a rough night defensively for James and this was definitely one of the lowest points for him. Curry completely lost the four-time MVP with his dribble.
More of that, please.
