Stephen Curry had arguably his standout game of the playoffs to date and he recorded a triple double in the process. Kevin Durant was sharp once again and Klay Thompson finally found his stroke at long last. Those were the three stars of the game.
3. Klay Thompson
After being the focal point from the Golden State Warriors’ Game 1 victory because he couldn’t shoot, Thompson bounced back perfectly on Sunday. His defense was on point, but his 8-12 shooting helped lift the Warriors in key spots. If he’s got his shot back, then this series could be over in a flash. Him, Durant and Curry being on fire at the same time was just too much for Cleveland to try and even contain.
2. Kevin Durant
Durant was dominant once again after a great performance in the first game of the series. He scored 33 points and was physical on the boards. His blocked shot that led to a three really helped take the air out of the Cavaliers. Durant’s playing like a player that wants his first NBA Championship.
