The Golden State Warriors have a chance to push the Cleveland Cavaliers to the brink of elimination in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night.

Opportunity awaits the Golden State Warriors in the state of Ohio. With a commanding 2-0 series lead in the NBA Finals, the Warriors have a chance to put themselves within one of an NBA Championship on Wednesday night. After two convincing wins over the Cleveland Cavaliers, it doesn’t appear anything is going to stop Golden State.

The addition of Kevin Durant to the lineup has given the Warriors more than enough firepower and Stephen Curry has been playing his best basketball of the year. Add in the rest of a deep lineup and Cleveland hasn’t been able to keep up.

If there’s something the Cavaliers can place hope in, it’s the fact they were in the same exact position last year. While this Warriors team is much different, the Cavaliers should have a more renewed energy on their home floor. The crowd in Cleveland has been boisterous and lifted the Cavaliers when they have needed them most.

Still, with the redemption that Golden State is chasing and the fact they want to get their title back, Cleveland is going to have to do their best to keep up. A win to push the series to 3-0 would all but seal it for Golden State.

While it wouldn’t be the end, Wednesday night is in a way the last stand for the Cavaliers. If they can’t put Golden State away and pick up the win at home, then LeBron James is staring a fifth finals loss in the eye and unsuccessful defense of the Cavaliers’ NBA Championship.
